Curious by default, paranoid by training
I started out writing web apps because I wanted to see my ideas run in a browser. I moved into security because I kept wondering what would happen if someone used those apps in a way I had not planned for. Both halves of the job now feed each other: I design systems with the attacker in the room, and I test systems with a builder's sympathy for why the flaw got there.
Day to day that means shipping product features, reviewing code for the failure modes that linters miss, and running scoped engagements against web and cloud targets. Off the clock it means CTFs, disclosure programmes, and writing up what I learn so the next person spends less time on it than I did.
Outside the terminal: long-distance running, film photography, and an unreasonable amount of coffee.
